A senior Chinese military leader on Wednesday underlined the profound traditional friendship between China and Sudan and said the Chinese military would deepen cooperation with the Sudanese side.
At a meeting with Abbas Arabi Abdalla, chief of general staff of the Sudanese armed forces, Xu Caihou, vice-chairman of the China's Central Military Commission, said China and Sudan have strengthened cooperation in political, economic and cultural fields over the recent years.
"China attaches importance to the traditional friendship with Sudan and is willing to increase exchanges and cooperation in every field between the two countries and armed forces," he said.
Abbas hailed the deep-rooted traditional friendly relationship between Sudan and China, and said the two sides have carried out all-round and in-depth cooperation in political, economic, cultural and military affairs.
He hoped the two countries and armed forces could further advance and enhance friendly exchanges and cooperation in the future.
