Hurricane-stricken Cuba receives Venezuelan aid

Cuba received a shipload of relief materials from Venezuela as humanitarian assistance to the island after the hurricane Dennis roared across it, local media reported on Monday.

A Venezuelan navy vessel carried roofing material, pylons for the electricity system, electricity cable, transformers and aluminum conductors, according to the reports.

On Tuesday, another Venezuelan ship will head for Cuba on a mission of humanitarian relief.
