Two dead in fireworks factory explosion in Venezuela

At least two people died and five more were injured as a result of the explosion at noon in a fireworks factory in Guacara municipality, of the Venezuelan state of Carabobo, said Firemen Commander Jose Monzon Tuesday.

Cited by State-run Bolivarian News Agency (ABN), Monzon said there was an explosion in material utilized by workers.

He said "the situation is nearly under control, and measures are taken to prevent more explosions."

The firemen commander also said the cause of the explosion is not known yet.
