Foreigners from 37 countries get together in Shenzhen
font size

Considered as entirely new, the "Asia-Europe Basketball Duel Meet" was held in Baishida Garden, a resident community in Shenzhen, a port city in South China's Guangdong province. All the participants are foreigners who live in the community. With more and more foreigners come to invest in Shenzhen, it is not rare for them to hold sport games in their local community.

Besides mainland and Hong Kong residents, there are also more than 200 "international residents" coming from 37 different countries, including the US, Germany, the UK, Italy, Russia, ROK, Singapore, India Jordan as well as Israel, in Baishida Garden, which is now consequently known as an "International Village". Most of these residents are investors, middle- and high-level officers in the management team as well as their family members. Particularly, there is no lack of the officers who take charge of the sales sector in Chinese headquarter of the world's top 500 enterprises.

How come more and more foreigners get together in Baishida Garden? Luo Lei, deputy manager of Baishida Real Estate summarized two points: the first is the sound environment and well-equipped facilities in the community and the second is the Shenzhen, best known for its favorable policies towards foreign investment, has attracted more and more foreigners in recent years.

More and more people of fair skin and blonde hair have come to Shenzhen now and residents are used to meet owners of foreign nationality and greet each other with "hello" instead of "Nihao" in the community. Along with the development of urban construction and internationalization process and the improvement of living facilities in Shenzhen, more and more foreigners will definitely make Shenzhen their first choice for living while doing international business in China. To better serve the purpose, Shenzhen has developed many international communities like Jingshan villa and Baishida Garden.
