Chinese state councilor meets Andorran PM

Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan met in Beijing Sunday with visiting Prime Minister Marc Forne Molne of the Principality of Andorra.

China and Andorra have kept a friendly relationship since the two countries established diplomatic ties, Tang said.

He told the guest that the Chinese government attaches importance to developing Sino-Andorran ties and is willing to enhance exchanges and cooperation with Andorra.

"I am convinced that with concerted efforts made by both sides, the relationship between China and Andorra will continue to grow," he said.

Forne told the Chinese state councilor that the Andorran people and the Chinese people are good friends, and the Andorran government is ready to further cooperation with China in tourism

and other areas, to advance the relationship between the two countries.

Forne is visiting China on Jan. 15-18 as guest of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.
