font size

China is ready to enhance exchange and cooperation with France in legal and judiciary fields, said State Councilor Zhou Yongkang in Beijing Friday in a meeting with French Minister of Justice Dominique Perben.

Zhou briefed guests about China's legal construction, noting that China is willing to make concerted efforts with France to further exchanges and cooperation in legal and judiciary fields, and to elevate the already friendly and cooperative ties between the two countries.

China and France should especially improve their cooperation insuch fields as fighting economic crimes and illegal emigration, Zhou said.

Perben said the French will continue to strengthen cooperation with China in various fields, including in legal and judiciary affairs.

Perben arrived here Friday on a four-day visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Minister of Justice Zhang Fusen. Besides Beijing, Perben and his party will also visit Shanghai.
