Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi left China's southern city Shenzhen Friday at the end of his six-day official visit to the country.

Meles arrived in Shenzhen, the third leg of his visit, Thursday afternoon after visiting Xi'an, capital of northwestern Shaanxi Province, and Beijing.

In the meeting with Shenzhen Mayor Li Hongzhong, Meles said Ethiopia welcomes more investment from the prosperous city, especially in building the country's infrastructure such as telecommunication.

Li Hongzhong said Ethiopia, with abundant resources and a huge market, is attractive to Shenzhen investors. He will encourage local businesses to invest in the country and promote economic and technological cooperation between the two sides.

Meles made the official visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao. With a previous visit in October 1995,this is his second visit to China as prime minister.
