The non-governmental organization Doctors Without Borders (DWB) has announced its withdrawal from Iraq due to mounting security risks.

The non-governmental organization Doctors Without Borders (DWB) has announced its withdrawal from Iraq due to mounting security risks, China Radio International reported on Friday.

DWB says it is unable to guarantee the security of its personnel at this point.

DWB's General Director in Spain, Rafael Vilasanjuan, says it was very difficult to make the decision because Iraqi people still need medical and humanitarian aids.

Founded in 1971, DWB has been committed to delivering emergency aid to the people who lack health care.
