Memoir of senior military leader published
font size

General Liu Huaqing, a former vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) and member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau, has published his memoir.

In the book, Liu recalls his life -- from a village kid to a Red Army soldier, to a senior leader of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA). Liu was appointed CMC vice-chairman in November 1989.

"The Memoir of Liu Huaqing" has about 520,000 Chinese characters and will be helpful for those interested in the modern history of the Chinese military.

The book is published by the PLA Publishing House.
