Shariff Hassan Sheikh Adan representing Digil-Mirifle, one of the four major clans in Somalia, is elected the speaker for the newly inaugurated parliament of Somalia in Nairobi, capital of Kenya Wednesday Sept. 15, 2004.

Adan will chair the election of a president for Somalia which is scheduled to take place one week later in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi.
