Chinese crane team renovates container loading and unloading world record

A bridge crane team of container terminal in Qingdao Qianwan Container Terminal, east China's Shandong Province, has renovated the world record of single ship handling efficient at 381 natural containers per hour. The Ministry of Communications has recently confirmed it as the latest world record.

Accoring to the Ministry, the bridge crane team headed by Xu Zhenchao, now an Excellent representative of Contemporary Workers, created the record during the operation of unloading "MSC(Mediterranean Shipping Company SA) ALESSIA" on September 30, 2003.

As early as April 27, 2003, the bridge crane team reflashed then world record for single ship handling efficiency at 339 natural containers when handling the containers of the international large ship "MSC FLAMINIA".
