HK to host forum to tap reform ideas on service delivery
Some 1,200 participants from government departments, public bodies and private companies will consider a range of approaches that may facilitate the efficient and effective delivery of public services on Feb. 10 and 11.
Some 1,200 participants from government departments, public bodies and private companies will consider a range of approaches that may facilitate the efficient and effective delivery of public services on Feb. 10 and 11.
According to a Friday's government press release, the one-and-a-half day forum, entitled "Changing the Face of Government - Makingit Happen" has been organized by the Efficiency Unit of the Chief Secretary for Administration's Office. Key public office holders will share their insights and experiences with the aim of improving the delivery of public services in Hong Kong.
Four keynote speakers from Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States will draw on their experiences in senior public service positions to talk about overcoming challenges in improvingservice delivery.
On Feb. 11, a wide range of local and overseas speakers from public and private sectors will elaborate on the conference themes,including Hong Kong's Secretary for the Civil Service Joseph Wong and Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Frederick Ma.
