Philippine authorities have rescued a kidnapped Chinese-Filipino businesswoman and arrested two suspect kidnappers, local radios reported Friday morning.

"I'm okay now. Thank you," the 67-year-old woman was quoted by GMA radio as saying after she was rescued from an undisclosed location.

Two armed men Wednesday kidnapped Dominga Chou in the business district of Makati, Manila, while she was on her way to her family's hardware store with her secretary, radio dzBB reported.

Chou said her family did not pay the ransom the abductors demanded.

The rescuers found her handcuffed and her eyes covered with dark glasses in a safehouse. They arrested two kidnap gang members in charge of watching her, radio dzBB reported.
