Chartered flights between Shanghai and Saipan opened

China's Eastern Airlines opened charted flights to carry Chinese tourists from Shanghai to scenic Saipan island during the Chinese lunar new year holiday.

China's Eastern Airlines opened charted flights to carry Chinese tourists from Shanghai to scenic Saipan island during the Chinese lunar new year holiday.

According to the Chinese airline company, it uses A340 planes for the flights on Jan. 19, Jan. 23, Jan. 26, and Jan 30.

Saipan, an island of Northern Mariana Islands, has become a major choice for some Chinese who made plans to travel during the seven-day national holiday for the Spring Festival, or The Chinese Lunar New Year.

Saipan is also a chief destination of China's labor exports.
