Man arrested after detonating bomb at bank in Yunnan

A man who detonated a bomb at a bank in Kumning, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province, was arrested on Jan. 19.

A man who detonated a bomb at a bank in Kumning, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province, was arrested on Jan. 19.

Police said the blast occurred in a bank at Baoshan Street at about 10:50 am, injuring four people. Then, the man seized a woman employee and stood facing the police with another bomb.

The hostage was rescued and the man was caught at 12:30. Police found explosive devices in his clothes.

The injured, including the man, were immediately sent to hospital.

Police did not give the man's name. The case is under investigation.
