The Hong Kong 2004 Stamp Expo will be held from Jan. 30 to Feb. 3 in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.
Unlike previous international stamp exhibitions in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong 2004 Stamp Expo, also known as the 17th Asian International Exhibition, will encompass for the first time coins and notes.
The Expo will display valuable collections from the China National Postage Stamp Museum and Hong Kong Museum of History, the China National Philatelic Corporation and other leading philatelists, according to the post department.
The Hong Kong 2004 Stamp Expo is designed to be an event to cater for all ages and interests. One of the highlights is a Youth Corner featuring interactive games and DJ programs related to stamps.
In addition, Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department and Hong Kong Disneyland will have display booths in the Expo to promote Eco-tourism in Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Disney theme park.
More than 100 postal administrations, philatelic agents, stamps and coin dealers from all over the world will be participating in the Expo, which will provide an opportunity for visitors to broaden their knowledge and to purchase their favorite philatelic and coin collection.
