Air China reports profits of 96 million yuan in 2003

Air China last year reported a profit of 96 million yuan (about 11.6 million US dollars) despite huge difficulties incurred by the outbreak of the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).

Air China last year reported a profit of 96 million yuan (about 11.6 million US dollars) despite huge difficulties incurred by the outbreak of the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).

In the first half of 2003, Air China witnessed 1.92 billion yuan (231 million US dollars) of economic losses from the negative mpact of SARS epidemic. In the latter half, the airline recovered and gained 2.01 billion yuan (242 million US dollars).

Meanwhile, Air China, the largest airline in China, greatly promoted its reliability and flight regularity in 2003.
