Zanzibar hails Chinese constructed house project
Zanzibar President AbeidAmani Karume highly praised a newly finished housing project in Zanzibar as a precious gift given by the Chinese people before the40th Revolutionary Anniversary on Jan. 12.

On attending a handing-over ceremony on Sunday in Zanzibar, President Karume said the housing project that was designed and constructed by Chinese experts and workers fully reflected the friendship between the two countries.
He promised that the beautiful houses will be well maintained by the people who live in, and they should also keep and maintain the environment clean.
He also said that the government would continue with housing projects and finally ensure Zanzibar people get proper housing to live in.
The housing project includes four three-story residential buildings, one shop and pump house, exterior roads and fence, covering a total of 3162 square meters of construction, the total cost was donated by the Chinese government.
