Thousands greet first astronaut at Shanghai airport

"Space hero'' Yang Liwei signs an autograph yesterday for a student in East China's Shanghai Municipality yesterday. The city welcomed the pilot of the nation's first manned space flight after Yang visited Hong Kong, Macao and Tianjin over the past two weeks. Some 6,000 people swarmed to the Hongqiao International Airport to welcome Yang.
