Masykur Abdul Kadir, the only Bali native among more than 30 Bali bombing suspects, was sentenced Monday to 15 years in jail by the Denpasar District Court for assisting bombers in the last October attacks.

Kadir is accused of finding a boarding house for Bali bombers, accompanying them while conducting survey at targets and helping one of the bombers find a motorcycle used to explode a bomb at theUS consulate on the resort island.

Presiding judge Gede Damendra pronounced him guilty of deliberately assisting terrorists without showing any remorse, local media reports said. The verdict is similar to demand.

Damendra said there was no mitigating factor for Kadir, "a Bali-born man who assisted the bombings."

Kadir said in previous court hearings that he makes a living bydoing such things while stressing that he didn't know the suspectspersonally or their planned attacks.

Two powerful bomb explosions killed 202 people, mostly foreigners, packing at two nightclubs at Kuta town, while a smaller blast near the US consulate injured no one during simultaneous attacks on Oct. 12, 2002.

More than 12 suspects have been convicted for the attacks, two of them are to face the firing squad.
