HK Official to Attend Fujian-HK Week

Hong Kong's Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology John Tsang will lead a delegation to Fujian Province in the Chinese mainland from Aug. 21to 25 to foster business ties, a government press release said Wednesday.

Hong Kong's Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology John Tsang will lead a delegation to Fujian Province in the Chinese mainland from Aug. 21to 25 to foster business ties, a government press release said Wednesday.

The delegation comprises representatives from major Hong Kong chambers of commerce and trade organizations.

During his stay, Tsang will meet with senior Fujian officials and trade association representatives. He will give three addresses, one on Fujian-Hong Kong business and trade relations onAug. 22, the other two on business support services and Hong Kong's investment environment on Aug. 25. Later that day he will attendthe Fujian-Hong Kong Week opening ceremony.

The delegation will also visit Quanzhou and Xiamen on Aug. 23 and 24, to see trade and industry development there and meet officials.

Fujian-Hong Kong Week is jointly organized by the governments of the two areas. Business seminars, forums and visits will be held during the promotion to facilitate exchange.
