Guangzhou to Host China Open for Next Five Years

China's southern metropolis of Guangzhou will host the China Open badminton tournament in the next five years from 2003 to 2007, organizers said here on Monday.

China's southern metropolis of Guangzhou will host the China Open badminton tournament in the next five years from 2003 to 2007, organizers said here on Monday.

The organizers expected that the China Open 2003, with total prize money of 250,000 US dollars, will attract world top shuttlers from Denmark, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea and China. According to the organizers, men's world championXia Xuanze, men's world top singles player Chen Hong and women's world top three Zhang Ning, Gong Ruina and Zhou Mi from China haveconfirmed their participation.

The China Open 2003 will be held from November 11 to 16.
