Chinese FM Warns Travelers to Russia to Be Vigilant of Safety Concerns

The Chinese Foreign Ministry warned Chinese travelers to Russia to take care to safeguard their personal security, said the Chinese Foreign Ministry on Friday.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry warned Chinese travelers to Russia to take care to safeguard their personal security, said the Chinese Foreign Ministry on Friday.

Recently, Chinese travelers to Russia have frequently been attacked and robbed, said officials from the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

The Chinese Embassy to Russia has made representations to the Foreign Ministry of Russia and relevant departments to require theRussian government to take effective measures to ensure the safetyand property security of Chinese travelers.

In view of the current pubic security situation, the Chinese Foreign Ministry has warned Chinese travelers to Russia to be vigilant, bring less cash and valuables and not go to remote areasat night.

The Foreign Ministry also reminded travelers to contact the Chinese Embassy to Russia and local police when in difficulties.
