Pakistan to Act if Indonesia Provides Information on Terrorists: Spokesman

"If the Indonesian government has any lead on the training of the terrorists, they should share it with us so that we can further intensify our action," Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman Masood Khan said.
The spokesman was responding to a report quoting Indonesian Defense Minister Matori Abdul Djalil as saying that the terroristswere trained with al-Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Aziz said "Pakistan had taken a series of strong and effective measures against al-Qaeda."
He said Pakistan has not received any communication from the Indonesian government and the report did not specify the time period during which such training was given.
He stressed that Pakistan condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and it strongly condemns the terrorist attack at Jakarta's five-star Marriott Hotel.
Terming it a "gruesome attack" which killed innocent civilians,Aziz said "we have conveyed our sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families of the victims as well as the people and government of Indonesia."
Jakarta suffered terrorist strike early this week which claimed13 innocent lives and injured at least 149 others.
A powerful explosive device planted in a van was triggered off at the main entrance of the Marriott Hotel in one of the busiest district in south Jakarta, the fifth explosion shaking Jakarta this year.
