A kidnapped Taiwanese farm owner has been rescued unharmed from a bunch of vicious policemen, the Philippine police authority said Wednesday.

The Chinese victim identified as Wang Teng Fa was recovered from an unspecified hideout late Tuesday, a police statement said, adding that before this, the lawmen had nabbed several of his abductors -- three immoral policemen and a police informer.

The four abductors were rounded up in a shopping mall in San Fernando city in the northern province of Pampanga when they triedto receive the ransom money they demanded from Wang's wife, the police said.

Wang's wife reported to the police before she delivered the supposed amount of 300,000 pesos (around 5,400 US dollars). Five other unidentified suspects, however, had escaped from the mall.
