Chinese Vice-premier Meets Vietnamese Guests

Chinese Vice-Premier Hui Liangyu met Tuesday with a Vietnamese delegation led by K'sor Phuoc, minister of the Vietnamese Commission of Ethnic Minority Affairs.

Chinese Vice-Premier Hui Liangyu met Tuesday with a Vietnamese delegation led by K'sor Phuoc, minister of the Vietnamese Commission of Ethnic Minority Affairs.

Hui said China and Vietnam were both ethnically diverse countries, and departments in charge of ethnic affairs shouldered the same tasks of promoting ethnic solidarity, social stability and national unity, developing the economy and improving people's living standards.

He expressed the hope that departments from the two nations will enhance their friendship and cooperation.

The vice premier also briefed the guests on China's policy on ethnic affairs.

On Tuesday morning, Li Dek Su, minister in charge of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, the guests' host, chaired talks with the delegation.
