Sedan Car Sales Jump in China
Sales of sedan cars in China surged 82.4 percent in the first six month of the year to 842,800 units. Meanwhile, the output of sedan cars in the country reached 895,500 units, jumping 103 percent year-on-year.

The figures also showed that the ten largest car manufacturers in the country accounted for 82.5 percent of the total output in the country and 83 percent of the total sales.
Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive Co. Ltd. ranked top among the ten manufacturers in terms of output and sales, followed by the First Automotive Works Corp (FAW) Volkswagen based in Changchun, capital city of northeast China's Jilin Province, and Tianjin-based FAW Xiali Automobile.
From January to June, China imported less than 40,000 sedan cars, accounting for some four percent in the country's market.
