China's Auto Exports up 266 Percent in First Half Year
China exported 41,295 automobiles (including complete knockdowns) in the first half of this year, a rise of 266.4 percent over the same period last year.

Customs statistics show the automobiles include 1,181 cars, 10,570 heavy-duty trucks and 26,688 special-purpose vehicles.
The total export value stood at 168 million US dollars, up 65.3percent year-on-year. Owing to the low technological contents, theexport price of cars averaged 12,500 dollars per unit.
The export of auto parts and components exceeded 2 billion dollars in the six months.
China's imports of automobiles and parts and components in the January-June period reached a record high 6.7 billion dollars, up 114 percent year-on-year, according to the customs statistics.
