Three Killed in Fireworks Factory Blast in E. China

Three people, including a four-year-old girl, were killed in an explosion at a fireworks factory in east China's Fujian Province at 8:05 a.m. Thursday.

Three people, including a four-year-old girl, were killed in an explosion at a fireworks factory in east China's Fujian Province at 8:05 a.m. Thursday.

Eight people were injured in the blast which destroyed the factory building and dozens of houses nearby in Minhou County, in the east of the province.

A rescue team of 1,500 people has working continuously since the accident and firemen are struggle to extinguish a fire startedby the explosion.

The eight injured are being treated in hospital, the local government said.
