3 Suspected Terrorists Arrested in Scotland

Three suspected terrorists were arrested by Scottish Police in Ayrshire, south of Glasgow, early Thursday morning.

Three suspected terrorists were arrested by Scottish Police in Ayrshire, south of Glasgow, early Thursday morning.

About a dozen armed officers surrounded a residential address before police searched the premise, where three men, aged 35, 32 and 18, were detained, said a BBC report.

The suspects were immediately taken into police custody, the report said.

Several houses were evacuated during the raid and some bags of materials were taken away for examination by forensic officers.

British anti-terror police have arrested more than 300 suspectsunder anti-terror legislation since the Sept. 11 attacks on the United States. Many have been set free without charges.
