Microsoft China Says More Investment, Cooperation in China in 2004
Microsoft China said it would increase investment in China and seek common development with the Chinese software industry in the 2004 fiscal year starting on July1, 2003.

Tang Jun, president of Microsoft China, said Tuesday at a pressconference that the company's key strategy in the 2004 fiscal yearwas to acquaint itself with and satisfy the demands of clients andcooperation partners, and to provide satisfaction with the company's products and services.
Microsoft China has adjusted its structure in a bid to co-ordinate Microsoft's global sustained development strategies.
"Microsoft has made long-term commitments to China, and hopes to accelerate the development of Chinese software industry in cooperation with domestic partners," Tang said.
Microsoft, one of the fastest growing companies in the world, kept its commitments in China in the 2003 fiscal year when it signed a security deal with the Chinese government, shared its Windows operating system source codes and related technological information and signed a cooperation memorandum with the Beijing Municipal Government.
