Recently, the key laboratory of No.303 institution for national defence technology has scored a breakthrough in the making of super-precision machine-tool for the processing of aspheric camber. It has been successfully handed over, checked and accepted by the user, the Applied Optical Research Institution in Xi'an.
The successful research and making of the supper-precision machine-tool for processing non-spherical curved surface has indicated that No.303 Institution has by and large captured the key technology in super-precision processing and measurement for processing optical accessory parts of non-spherical cambers, poking a hole in the technological blockade set up by foreign countries. It has pushed the Chinese technology in this respect onto a big stage, thereby shortening on the whole the difference between that of China and the world advanced level.
The super-precision processing equipment and technology are the basis and key to the advanced manufacturing technology. The non-spherical super-precision processing machine-tool can be widely used in many such industries as aviation, aerospace flight, nuclear energy, laser, weaponry, electronics, medical appliances and computer and multi-media installment as well.
