The gull with balck neb, like other bird species in the world, is on the verge of extinction. By the concerted efforts of local goverment and a protective association, the bayou of Shuangtai Rivere has become the largest breeding area in the world. It has a habitat of about 5,000 gulls. Troops Awarded for Outstanding Contributions to Fight against SARS

The photo taken on June 22 shows a meeting to commend and send off PLA medical workers being held in Beijing. The meeting also showed the Beijing residents' thanks for these anti-SARS fighters.
