Ancient Rice Wine Found in West China City

2,000-year-old rice wine kept in a copper bell was unearthed in an ancient grave in Xi'an, northwest China's Shaanxi Province, in March 2003. The five kilograms of wine was found when a technician opened the bell Friday. To his great surprise, the wine is still kept fresh. It was considered as one of the great discoveries not only in the history of archaeology but also in the history of science and technology.

Technicians Inspecting Clover Fields
