Tourism In Guangdong Province Resumes

The first batch of more than 500 sightseers from South China's Guangdong Province depart for neighboring Hong Kong on June 5, 2003, since the outbreak of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) early this year forced a complete halt-down of the travel business. On May 23, the World Health Organization withdrawn travel advisory of Guangdong and Hong Kong.

Medical Workers Are Welcome By Their Families

Doctor Zhang Yongqiang is met by his wife and daughter as he left the Fangshan No 1 Hospital, one of the designated hospitals for treatment of SARS patients, Friday. Zhang was one of 43 doctors from the Beijing Hospital dispatched to the SARS hospital, where 118 infected patients were treated in the past 40 days.
