Shanghai-HK Overnight Delivery Service Launched
An express delivery service between Shanghai and Hong Kong was launched Monday, shortening the time of service between the two cities by a half day to 24 hours.

The "overnight delivery" service, provided jointly by DHL Worldwide Express and Hong Kong Dragon Airlines, added Shanghai toDHL's Asian air network, covering such big cities as Tokyo, Seoul,Taipei, Bangkok and Manila.
The new offering is expected to speed up the express service inthe Yangtze River Delta in east China as well as in neighboring provinces and cities.
DHL, which boasts the world's widest express network covering 120,000 destinations in more than 220 countries and regions, entered the Chinese market as early as in 1980 and joined hands with a Chinese company to build DHL-Sinotrans Worldwide Express in1986.
The joint venture has built up the largest express network in China with 39 branches and more than 60 processing centers, offering services in 318 cities across the country.
