96 Nicaraguans Killed During Easter Holiday

A total of 96 Nicaraguans were killed in various accidents during the week-long holiday of Easter,27 more than last year, Nicaraguan police said on Monday.

A total of 96 Nicaraguans were killed in various accidents during the week-long holiday of Easter,27 more than last year, Nicaraguan police said on Monday.

A police spokesman told a press conference that 19 people were killed and 94 others injured in 221 traffic accidents last week due to drunk or speed driving.

Some 26 were killed in criminal cases, with 46 others drowned and five committed suicide.

During the Easter holiday, many Nicaraguans were traveling or went to seaside resorts.
