Yang Jing Named Acting Governor of Inner Mongolia

Yang Jing, an alternate member of the 16th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), became the acting chairman of the Regional People's Government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, north China, Thursday.

Yang Jing, an alternate member of the 16th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), became the acting chairman of the Regional People's Government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, north China, Thursday.

His appointment came at the second meeting of the Standing Committee of the 10th Regional People's Congress of Inner Mongolia.

Yang, of the Mongolian ethnic group, was a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Regional Committee of Inner Mongoliaand secretary of the CPC City Committee of Hohhot, the regional capital, before taking over the new job.

He once served as the chairman of the Youth Federation of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
