Bangladesh team leader vowed to file an official complaint over a match between his team and Hong Kong of China who qualified for the next round of the Asian Cup soccer championship.

The match ended 2-2 in Hong Kong on Sunday, and the tie sent Hong Kong into next round preliminary round for the Asian Cup finals slated for September 2004 in Beijing, China.

"There were several mistakes committed by the referee during today's match. The penalty kick awarded to Hong Kong was unjustified," said Haque, leader of the Bangladesh team. "We are going to launch a formal complaint to the AFC."

The penalty kick came as Bangladesh's Mostofa Anwar Parvez clashed with Hong Kong's Szeto Man Chun in the box 44 minutes after the match was kicked off. Hong Kong's Au Wai Lun converted the opportunity into a goal.

One minute later, Szeto Man Chun gave Hong Kong second goal with a powerful distant shot.

The underdogs Bangladesh team during the first half became opposite. With the helps from Ferdjmahanmud Hossain and Md. MonwarHossain's sudden strikes, Bangladesh team excited the hundreds of Bangladesh fans with the late time tie.

"I knew we played very bad. I must apologize to our fans who begin to show their cares to soccer," said Tsang Wai Chung, coach of Hong Kong team.

"They (Hong Kong players) thought it was an easy game, failed to keep pressures on the opponents after the 2-0 during the first half," said Tsang.

Hong Kong will join Thailand, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan for two berths in the Asian Cup finals.
