Key personages involved in the drafting of the Macao Basic Law were invited to a grand cocktail party in Macao on Sunday held to mark the 10th anniversary of the promulgation of the Law.

The Macao Basic Law issued on March 31, 1993, has been the cornerstone of the political and legal systems of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR).

He said that the principle of "One Country, Two systems" laid by the Central Government sets up the guideline of the Macao BasicLaw, and the law is a legal embodiment of the practice of the principle in Macao.
