Vice-president Stresses Importance of Party Schools
Communist Party of China (CPC) schools are vital for building a team of quality cadres, said Chinese Vice-President Zeng Qinghong Wednesday.
Zeng, also president of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks while meeting with the presidents of local party schools who had just concluded a two-day meeting in Beijing.
He said the "Three Represents" theory and the conclusions of the 16th CPC National Congress serve as guidelines for the party schools.
Zeng, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, urged local Party schools to play a more important role in cultivating cadres so as to provide qualified officials in the country's economic development.
He said, although the CPC has improved and strengthened the work of Party schools since the 14th CPC National Congress, the schools should update their textbooks and pay more attention to research work on Party building.
