The United States has dropped two cluster bombs near Kerbela, south of Baghdad, Kyodo News Service reports Wednesday.

The United States has dropped two cluster bombs near Kerbela, south of Baghdad.

This was reported on Wednesday by the Japanese agency Kyodo News Service with reference to a representative of the US armed forces on the American aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk in the Persian Gulf.

No details have been reported.

The aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk arrived in the Persian Gulf in February from Japan, and its planes take part in the bombing of Iraq.
