Small Plane Crash Kills Two in Japan

A small airplane crashed early Monday into the mountainous region in Japan's Ibaraki Prefecture, killing two on board, Kyodo News reported.

A small airplane crashed early Monday into the mountainous region in Japan's Ibaraki Prefecture, killing two on board, Kyodo News reported.

The local officials have found the two bodies near the village of Ogawa in Ibaraki Prefecture, it said.

The plane is on fire at the crash site, which is about 120 kilometers northeast of Tokyo.

Local police said they received an emergency call about the crash shortly before 11 a.m. (0200 GMT).
