US Orders Non-essential Diplomats to Leave Israel, Syria, Kuwait

The US State Department Sunday ordered its non-essential diplomats and families of embassy personnel to leave Israel, Syria and Kuwait "due to the threat of military action in Iraq."

The State Departments issued the order several hours after US President George W. Bush announced that Monday would be the last day to determine whether international diplomacy could work for a peaceful solution to the Iraqi crisis.
