Ancient Tombs Unearthed in Hunan

This undated photo shows a bronze mirror engraved with dragon-shaped lines unearthed in one of the tombs of the Wang Mang period (A.D.9--A.D.23) of the Western Han Dynasty (B.C.206--A.D.220) in Yiyang, a city in south China's Hunan Province. A total of 303 cultural relics including bronze arrows, spearheads, metal arrowheads, bronze mirrors, iron arrows, clay pots, jars, jade rings and agates were discovered in 27 ancient tombs of the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Periods, and 11 Western Han Dynasty tombs and one Song Dynasty tomb and other ruined tombs in the center of the city now under construction.
