China Expresses Condolences on Serbian PM's Assassination

The Chinese Government has expressed its condolences on the assassination of Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said Thursday.

The Chinese Government has expressed its condolences on the assassination of Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said Thursday.

In response to a question, spokesman Kong Quan said the Chinese Government expressed its condolences and deep sympathy on the Serbian PM's assassination.

China highly praises the prime minister's efforts in promoting the friendly relations between China and Serbia and Montenegro, Kong said.

China has always condemned and opposed terrorist activities in any form, Kong said.

"We hope and believe Serbia and Montenegro will maintain stability and development," the spokesman said.
