Bus Accident Kills 6 in SW China Province

A bus fell off a cliff Wednesday morning in Dazhou City, southwest China's Sichuan Province, killing five people instantly and injuring one who died en route to the hospital, local sources said.

A bus fell off a cliff Wednesday morning in Dazhou City, southwest China's Sichuan Province, killing five people instantly and injuring one who died en route to the hospital, local sources said.

At 10:15 a.m., the bus with six people onboard fell 150 meters down the cliff on the Wanzhou-Dazhou Highway while traveling from Chengkou County, southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, to Wanyuan of Dazhou City.

The bus was said to be able to accommodate 29 people. Its driver, Yan Bing, was from Henan Province, central China.

The cause of the accident is being investigated.
