Violence Leaves 14 Injured in New York's Times Square

Eight people were shot and six others were either stabbed or trampled when a fight broke out inside a Times Square arcade early Sunday, local media reported.

Eight people were shot and six others were either stabbed or trampled when a fight broke out inside a Times Square arcade early Sunday, local media reported.

Two of the shooting victims were listed in critical condition, police said.

Three people were hospitalized for stab wounds, and three others were injured when they were trampled inside the arcade. Their conditions were not immediately known, but police said theirinjuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

The fight broke out on the second floor of Broadway City Arcadein Times Square, a busy tourist area.

Authorities discovered the victims after responding to reports of a fight inside the arcade. The cause of the dispute was under investigation.
