Kenyan President Hails Kenya-China Relations
Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki said Friday that his government attached great importance to its relations with China and highly appreciated the policy of China toactively develop its relations with African countries.

When meeting with the outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Kenya Du Qiwen, Kibaki said that the new government of Kenya would continue to stick to the One China policy.
There is no political difference between Kenya and China. China is a long time real friend of Kenya and the new government of Kenya is willing to learn the successful development experience from China and strengthen the bilateral cordial cooperation, the president said.
On his part, Du said China attaches great importance to her friendly relations of cooperation with Kenya and considers Kenya as her important cooperation partner in Africa.
The Chinese side would like to work together with Kenya to probe into new ways and new channels of cooperation between the two countries, said the ambassador.
He also sought the support of the Kenyan government on some economic cooperation projects under discussion by the two sides.
