A regular container liner for traveling between Yantai, a coastal city in east China's Shandong Province, and Pushan of the Republic of Korea (ROK) has been inaugurated this week, a provincial source announced.

The "Fanzhou Express" will travel the container shipping line jointly launched by two sea transportation companies of China and the ROK.

Import and export goods may be transported directly from Yantaito Pushan, and to ports in Japan and European and American countries via Pushan on a regular weekly navigation, the source said.

The Republic of Korea (ROK) is the coastal Chinese city's second largest trade partner, according to the source. Last year'sfigures indicate ROK enterprises had launched a cumulative total of 1,640 investment projects in Yantai, with contract investment topping two billion US dollars.

The trade volume between the two sides hit 1.157 billion US dollars, the source said, adding that the launch of the regular container liner will promote Sino-ROK economic and trade relations.
